When invoking gthumb with an image filename (such as through double-clicking an image in nautilus), the window opens in browse mode (with the folders and the side panel) for a short second before it switchs to the image view. This can be a little bit uncomfortable to the eyes, as it caused the gthumb window to "flash" for a moment before it displays the image. It also made the application feel slower than it actually is. Could it be possible to let gthumb switch to the image view directly when it starts? Thanks! Yindong Yu
Hi Paolo, A user of the debian gthumb package noticed the following: Yindong Yu wrote: I just verified this using gthumb 2.3.3, and it seems that, indeed, the browse mode flashes before going to image view mode. Is this intentional? Thanks, Remco
