This may just be a bug to pass along upstream, but I noticed that the
choice of "Date and Time Format..." for KDE as a whole can degrade
KOrganizer's function.  For example, I chose MM-DD format for dates so
that I could fit the date onto my (small) panel display.  However, when
I create a new entry in KOrganizer's calendar or to-do list using the
built-in calendar menu, the _output_ of that little calendar is also in
MM-DD format, which will always default to the current year, even if I
clearly selected another year from the calendar menu.  I've included a
screen shot in case this explanation isn't clear enough.

The same problem occurs if time format is set to display pH:MM without
the AMPM tag at the end.  The drop-down list of times will list (for
example) "7:00" twice, and no matter which I choose, I will always get
7:00 (am) when I create the calendar entry.

It seems like the program confuses the way it should display the time or
date information and the way it should internally represent the date or
time information within its own menus.  Maybe it needs to selectively
ignore parts of the general KDE "Date and Time Format..." information so
that it always adds a year and always adds AMPM if the user has selected
pH:MM?

I've just checked, and it still seems to be an issue, although I haven't used
settings that cause this issue in the last several years, so it hasn't been
bugging me.  Really not a Debian bug either, since I've seen it in every KDE
installation, up to the most recent Ubuntu (KDE 3.5.6).  So, I wouldn't want
the Debian KDE team to worry about it.  Thanks for the response!
