Comments/Problems:
I could not configure WEP key for wireless network as it would not let me
choose which of the four keys that WEP can use, [1-4].  I use key [2] and
needed to enter the wep key as "[2] xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xx" but
this was rejected as an invalid key.

The installer always defaulted to key [1] which failed on my system,
however, when I reconfigured my wireless network to use key [1] the
installer worked fine.

Previously I had to edit '/etc/network/interfaces' after a semi-successful
install, to use key [2], for the network to work.

If the installer could allow for keys in the format "[x]
xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xx" it would be of great help.

I don't understand the problem.  Why can't you store your WEP key in
location #1 and use it from there?


I don't understand what it means to reconfigure a wireless network to
use key [1].  Does the network care which location you keep your key in?

You can, but it means you must change all the other machines and access
points on the network to use location #1, which could be a lot of work.

The wireless access point I'm using does.  There are four possible keys and
you must specify which one to use on both the access point and the network
clients.  I was using key [2].
