I have the "check_version" option enabled in my dput.cf file. Sometimes,
however, I find it useful to temporarily disable this, but there is no
way to do that on the command line; it can only be done by editing the
config file.

I think it would be nice if dput provided an flag to temporarily
disable the "check_version" option.

Thank your very much for your bugreport and interest in dput. I think
your pointing out here a problem which we should have noticed earlier.
But neither Thomas nor me use that option. So we will consider adding
such an option to the current dput.

I've added a -n flag to dput which tells dput to upload even if a
package has not been installed. This is necessary when one package
produces .deb(udeb) files that conflict with each other, and thus
cannot be installed at the same.
