Hi,

when I download a bug mbox (http://b.d.o/mbox:bugnumber), there is no
easy way to see which severity and tags the report has. That
information is displayed in the plain output (http://b.d.o/bugnumber),
but not easily parseable as it is presented in a human readable form.

How about generating a "pseudomessage" as first or last message in the
bug mbox, which gives all the "Basic" information about the bug? I'd
suggest the following format:
Package: $CURRENT_PACKAGE
Source-Package: $CURRENT_SOURCE_PACKAGE
Maintainer: $CURRENT_MAINTAINER
Owner: $CURRENT_OWNER
Submitter: $SUBMITTER
Forwarded-To: $FORWARDED_ADDRESS
Forwarded-Date: $FORWARD_DATE
Severity: $CURRENT_SEVERITY
Tags: $CURRENT_TAGS
Tag-Patch
Tag-Wontfix

The last lines are a list of the actually present Tags for easy grepping.

Greetins
Marc

I've implemented a version of this fix, which I'll be putting on
bugs.debian.org in the near future, but I wanted to make sure that it
resolved the issue for you.

http://bugs.donarmstrong.com/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=286115;mbox=yes;mboxstat=yes

will show the bug with a status message. I'll probably also add a link
to it on the bugreport.cgi page, but I haven't done that yet.

Currently (as you can see below) it's set up as a message to control,
where you can set everything the way that you want it, and then send
it out. [This bug doesn't have tags, isn't merged, nor is it blocked,
so nothing shows there currently, but they'd also normally be included.]

Personally, I think my choice in the mostest-superlative-computer wars
has to be the HP-48 series of calculators. They'll run almost
anything. And if they can't, while I'll just plug a Linux box into
the serial port and load up the HP-48 VT-100 emulator.

Hi Don and Marc,

This bug is marked pending since 20 years now. Maybe it is time to conclude ?

Cheers,
