When one uses Kontact and has the kOrganizer alarm daemon running, this latter won't start kontact, but only korganizer instead. There should be an option somewhere to modify that behaviour.
Hi, We (the Debian Qt/KDE team) are trying to update the bug status of some old wishlist requests in the BTS. You filed a wishlist request #296564 "korganizer: Alarm daemon should be configurable to start kontact" some time ago, you can read the bug report at: http://bugs.debian.org/296564 We are sorry if nobody responded when you filed the bug, KDE has gotten more bugs in the past years than the maintainers could handle. We are trying to fix this now, but we need your help. So please respond to this mail and tell us if: - the feature you were asking for was already added - changes in the application makes this feature unnecessary - or the request not longer makes sense for some another reason. --- Thanks in advance, Ana Guerrero, on behalf of the Debian Qt/KDE team

Scribit Ana Guerrero dies 03/03/2007 hora 02:16: Thanks for taking aold wishlist bugs in account! For that matters, yes, the bug is still totally valid today. I still don't see any UI to configure the daemon to do anything but launch KOrganizer on a click on it. If it was merely a daemon receiving requests to show alerts at specified times with options on what to do with the alert, and that the default action of the applet could be configurable, it would move this little app to a rather limitedly useful small applet to a rather great and extensible piece of software, if you ask me... Regards, Pierre
