Setting this parameter to 1 seems not to work. I opened
a test slide and contrary to what the documentation says,
the keys 'n'/space or 'p' do not cause the browser to
load the next/previous slide.

Unfortunately I could only test with a relatively current
Firefox under Windows XP as browser and internet exploiter
- no success, so I assume an error in the JavaScript.

Hi Wolfgang,

docbook-slides came up as a candidate for the Bug of the Day[1] today.
At first thanks a lot for your effort to file detailes bug reports
against this package. However, I'm not really sure how to proceed from
here. On one hand I have no idea where to add this documention where
you provided the needed content for (thank you for this). On the other
hand I'm not really sure whether we need this package in Debian any
more.

If the answer is yes (@Mathieu) I'd happily volunteer to migrate the old
SVN repository to the Salsa team space of the XML-SGML team. I simply
want to make sure that this time is well spent and the package is really
helpful for our users.

Kind regards
   Andreas.
