Hi,

When apt is unable to install a package because something down the
dependency tree is unavailable, the message is not always very clear.
As an example, look at this buildd log:
<http://buildd.debian.org/fetch.php?&pkg=workrave&ver=1.8.1-1&arch=m68k&stamp=1124833014&file=log&as=raw>

it would be nice if the "but it is not going to be installed" lines
would be expanded, so that buildd maintainers don't have to manually
dig in Packages files to find out what package or version, exactly, is
missing.

Thanks,

forcemerge 112811 325786 601023
tag 112811 confirmed
thanks
It's wishlist severity, I changed this indirectly via force-merging with
112811 as the master bug.
OK, I merged this bug and all other bugs on the same issue. I'm also
tagging this bug confirmed, as I think that it could really be better.
