Per bug #338763 the previous lsh package has now been removed from the
Debian archive.

Now, after all the trouble you've been through not to conflict with it,
it is gone and (as far as I can tell) you should be able to step in and
take its place. :-)

I don't know how transitions of this type are normally handled, but it
seems that to start with all of the binary names should be reverted to
the original names (no longer conflicting with the old lsh), and
eventually the source and binary packages should be renamed to lsh.

yup, this will ease the packaging of lsh-utils. Anyhow, I doubt the
source package name will change, it will most probably stay I guess.

I already have a (nearly) ready new version of lsh-utils which
conflicts against lsh (so people who have the old lsh still installed
don't get errors). Its lsh-client binary is now named "/usr/bin/lsh".
