21.5.x and leave 21.4.x in Sarge? Or if you consider 21.5.x as too
buggy to open an experimental branch for 21.5.x?

17 years after this bug has been filed, XEmacs 21.5.x should be stable enough to enter Debian.
The current version is one of a few autoconf2.13 packages and importing a current upstream
release would be a step towards getting rid of autoconf2.13.

xemacs21 is now the last package build dependending on autoconf2.13.

It is humorous for something to be in beta since 2001.

Fedora and openSUSE ship the 21.5 branch.
