severity 349256 normal clone 349256 -1 reassign -1 pkgsel retitle -1 Should display the file transfer rate when downloading files severity -1 wishlist thanks Hmmm, you don't exactly explain what does the "Failed to reboot" title you gave to your bug report mean. Added as suggestion to pkgsel Already suggested in #321109.... Unfortunately, it seems that the grub-installer package needs some attention and bugs cleaning.

Could someone explain exactly what this bug is about? At first glance
it seems to ask for a feature that's already present (displaying the
current rate of download).
Thanks,

Daniel Burrows wrote: pkgsel uses the APT::Status-Fd interface to display download and install progress in a progress bar in the d-i UI. While aptitude actually does a better job of displaying progress via the statusfd than apt-get (it includes the download time estimate, which apt-get for some reason does not), it is missing the file transfer rate. You can reproduce this outside of d-i with a command like: debconf-apt-progress -- aptitude -y install x-window-system
