When i open one profile, i can't open the others. I tried: - thunderbird -P home - thunderbird -P work Only the "home" profile opens. I can't open the Profile-Manager too when one profile is already running.

This problem should be tackled before etch. Do this:
+ remove profile manager from menus (if not already happened)
+ document that -profile switch is only for selecting legacy profiles
at start.
+ Document that the -profile switch will only be honored for the
first instance a user starts. All subsequent invocations do bring
thunderbird to front.

I'm getting this error message. Warning: unrecognized command line flag -P Tell me if I can help!
As I read it, this is tagged "wontfix" for whatever reason. I just moved to Debian Etch from CentOS4, where I regularly opened multiple copies of Thunderbird with different profiles. It seems that there should be some way to deal with in Debian. Even a kludge would be OK.
try, MOZ_NO_REMOTE=1 icedove -P - Alexander
