If ddd suggests info-browser instead of info then it won't complain when
being installed on a system with pinfo (my favourite info viewer of the
moment).
Could you please put this change in the next version (probably not worth a
new version just for that feature though - make this a wishlist item).

Hi Russell,

pinfo looks nice, but it's too unstable for my taste at the moment.

The problem is that the "info-browser" virtual package does not imply
there's a standard way of invoking the info-browser.

It would be possible though to modify DDD to try the various
command-line-invocable info-browsers, similar to the way it tries various
web-browsers. Currently, the "info" command name is hardwired into DDD.

Greetings,
Ray

Could you give some examples, where it's unstable? Only with the help of
the users, we can improve pinfo, so please tell me the bugs or problems
and I and the author will try to solve them. Also wishlist-bugs are
welcome.

Closing this ticket because it is out-dated and there was answer from
reporter to the maintainers questions, for years. No
interest the reporter.

This happens in interest of Debian GNU/Linux project because it harms
the
project keeping tickets of that age open without any activity, decision
or
action taken.

Feel free to re-open or open a fresh report.
