just a wishlist for local transfers:

a --log-each option, which would log the per-file details while
--stats etc. still go to stdout.  otherwise we have to redirect to a
file and parse.

this is a nice feature you requesting here.

But I suggest you report this to the upstream project. Debian can
nothing do about it. Debian maintain the package but not the project
behind.
Please post the link of the upstream ticket here.

If there are no objections I would close the issue.
