I would like to delete only parts of my trash folder, not only all mails on none of them.

Usually I keep the last two month in the trash, then I delete them manually. It would be great if you could make that possible.

thanks

It's been over three years since this feature was requested, and it's
still not been implemented. The whole point of having a "trash" is so
that you can store discarded messages there for some period of time
before really deleting them. If you cannot delete only some messages
from the trash, the only options are (1) to let the trash grow
indefinitely or (2) periodically delete messages that have just been
discarded, defeating the purpose of having the trash in the first place.

Thanks for your consideration,
John Lindgren

Hi,
Why did you change the severity ? it's still a feature request
Actually, such features have very little chances to be implemented on
the distribution side.
Please ask and contribute upstream.
way trash is handled (i.e. virtual folder).
See this bug for example :
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=224442

(Hence, I changed back the severity, forwarded and tag...)

Cheers,
