hello kurt is there any news on the packaging? can i help? there's already a package for ubuntu at: http://revu.tauware.de/details.py?upid=4751 http://prog.infosnel.nl/io/ http://www.iolanguage.com/downloads/ yours, guerkan
Hello What's the status of your ITP? Here's what I have for the moment: http://sid.ethz.ch/debian/io/ Yours, Gürkan
Is someone going to upload this or what?
Danya Alexeyevsky's and my work resulted in a RFS in February 2008, but I didn't find a sponsor. I just saw that I did, in fact, get a reply from Barry deFreese, but I missed it. He correctly pointed out that a couple of minor lintian problems still remain. Ok, there are some packages I prepared which date back to early 2008. I can't promise to produce new packages quickly as my main platform at home currently isn't Linux (sadly) and my time is _very_ limited. Sorry. Would anyone like to continue maintainership of the Io language packages? I could provide help and feedback, but my experience is limited, too. Regards, Jonas Eschenburg
that was my main problem back then when i had a package ready, lack of someone who can upload... don't count on me with this package, i've got another bunch which i'm trying to find sponsors for... yours, guerkan
If there are packages ready and in good shape, I'll sponsor the first upload, but that's all.
retitle 394315 RFP: io -- A small, prototype-based programming language noowner 394315 thanks Hi, This is an automatic email to change the status of io back from ITP (Intent to Package) to RFP (Request for Package), because this bug hasn't seen any activity during the last 6 months. If you are still interested in adopting io, please send a mail to <control@bugs.debian.org> with: retitle 394315 ITP: io -- A small, prototype-based programming language owner 394315 ! thanks However, it is not recommended to keep ITP for a long time without acting on the package, as it might cause other prospective maintainers to refrain from packaging that software. It is also a good idea to document your progress on this ITP from time to time, by mailing <394315@bugs.debian.org>. Thank you for your interest in Debian,
