Hi,

aptitude is intended to replace debfoster. However, it would be a much
better replacement if aptitude had a view with all packages that are
manually installed, so that I can see only relevant packages and decide if
it should be removed from this list or not.

Regards,
Tino

This can be achieved with the package display limit [1] set to
"?installed !?automatic". (press `l' in the curses interface)

Refer to the search terms reference [2] for more details.

Hi,

2006-11-17 07:11 Tino Keitel:

2011-12-19 03:53 Daniel Hartwig:

It could be a good idea to create a new view for this, but since the
alternative is so easy to arrive to (in the main view, typing 'l' and
then '~i!~M' and then OK button), I am not sure that it's worth it.

Also, nobody seconded this request in the ~decade that it has been open.

In the meantime, I am marking as +wontfix at the moment, to try to clean
up the list of issues that are more likely to be implemented in the near
future.

Cheers.
