Idesk starting in :0.0
Cannot load file: /home/max/.ideskrc!!
Loaded default file: /usr/share/idesk/dot.ideskrc
[idesk] Background's file not found.
[idesk] Background's source not found.
Error: you have to create the .idesktop dir on your HOME!!

when creating that dir it seems to want to display contents
of it instead of displaying the ~/Desktop folder as
kde, gnome or xfce4 do.

please consider changing that default and forwarding
that bug to upstream.

hi.

Thank you for report it.

Yes, I know about this requirement.

I'm the upstream. I have a new version 0.7.6 but I don't know if I
will release it soon.
I'm very busy right now.

Regards.

More than 2 years later - any news on that?

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?pkg=idesk;dist=unstable
-> the package would need some love overall, do you plan to take any
actions over the next few days/weeks?
