When reading the quite big, flash file format specification v8, and changing page (from first to second for example) xpdf show the top of the new page and continue to load. When the page has been loaded, it re-show the first page. Hum well, it's easier to see than explain, just look at the file. I added forwarded to 174990 since it was clear that this has been communicated from the context.
