Why show generic icons for media files that gthumb cannot play? At least
add an option to the preferences or a menu to enable/disable the display
of icons for non-image files.

Hi Michael,
a Debian user reported a bug against gthumb. A quote of the report follows:

I've verified that this "bug" (but I believe it's a feature -- opening
multimedia files with other applications from within gthumb's interface) also
exists on 2.10.8. Would you please consider adding an option to disable showing
icons for non-image files?

Please, in your replies, keep all us CCed.

Kindly,
David (Debian maintainer of gthumb)

forwarding Debian bugs :)

I see this has been addressed in gthumb/trunk r2282, great!

Ian: you'll find the feature you requested in gthumb 2.11.0.

Kindly (and, again, sorry for the noise),
David (who's preparing an experimental gthumb package from trunk)
