Hi,

I often use the msgid-finder to flag messages as spam. When it finds
results in lists I'm not subscribed to, I flag those too.

But it seems, it does not index messages with malformed headers, like

Message-ID: <929813f4ewn0$i6569xh0$6438e6i0@Delldim5150

(note the missing right bracket)

The message should already be indexed, because

Received: from mx1.euroweb.ro (mx1.euroweb.ro [193.226.61.14])
	by liszt.debian.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 7A61F13A5C3D

I found 2 of those messages today, which can at the moment be found at:

I remember that there was some spam with the missing right bracket in the
past and when it didn't show up with msgid-search, I thought it was
already deleted from the archives. Maybe others use the msgid-search, too
to flag spam and when it doesn't get listed (and so not flagged) maybe
some of those messages go unnoticed. So it might be a good idea let
messages be indexed, that match (perlish):
/^message-id:[[:space:]]+<(.+)>?/i
where $1 is then the string for the indexer.

It just crossed my mind, that I had some spam in the past where the
message-id was just "<[" (sans the quotes of course), so it's maybe a
good sign for spam in general?

this one works for me, see below.

It works as of now. The script has either been fixed in the meantime or
you were too fast looking at the ML archives. :) AFAIR it takes some
time until the web pages get created from the mails and then again until
all those crosslinking is right.

This one takes me to the search web form. I remember a while back (maybe
some years now) this URL syntax worked. I think I read somewhere, that
this syntax has been retired and URLs of the form
http://lists.debian.org/msgid-search/?m=<msg-id> should be used. I'm
using a "smart bookmark" for msg-id find: debmsg =
http://lists.debian.org/msgid-search/?m=%s and "debmsg
AANLkTi=Nvo4khrYNAxzM1Q3S3wtg_8u0tjWavs6xAxhk@mail.gmail.com" in my URL
bar works here.

Hmmm... Forget my sentence about "a while back", I just looked at the
examples on the web form, your syntax should work. :)

I rechecked that today with my debmsg "smart bookmark" (see above) and
found, that "debmsg <929813f4ewn0$i6569xh0$6438e6i0@Delldim5150" works (note
the leading bracket), whereas "debmsg
929813f4ewn0$i6569xh0$6438e6i0@Delldim5150" does not. I usually use my
bookmark without the angle brackets and that works for all non-malformed
messages (left and right angle bracket in msg-id header).

BTW that messages is spam in d-testing and still not removed. :)
