I have this ancient most bug sitting around that I'm pretty confident
is fixed because the way that most handles gziped files has changed.

If you still use most and can remember, can you confirm whether this
bug is fixed and, if not, give me a little more info?

Well, I still get the same error message from gzip when I (Q)uit viewing
the file.

	Apparently, the issue manifests itself only on sufficiently big
	files (the buffering is obviously involved.)  Consider, e. g.:

$ most /usr/share/doc/libdirectfb-1.2-9/changelog.gz

	Should one quit without scrolling, a “Broken pipe” message will
	be produced (as per 5.0.0a-2.)

	Of the following commands, the first will result in the message
	on quit (once again, without scrolling), while the second won't.

$ most +$((32 * 1024)) /usr/share/doc/libdirectfb-1.2-9/changelog.gz
$ most +$((35 * 1024)) /usr/share/doc/libdirectfb-1.2-9/changelog.gz

	Still, please note that it's actually Gzip that produces the
	message.  And I'm not that certain that it should be inhibited.

Dear Maintainer,

I am having the same problem reading /usr/share/doc/cups/changelog.Debian.gz
with most. I pushed a little further research to decompress the file and then
cutting it with "split -b" to test different file sizes.

By dichotomy, I found that files whose size is strictly greater than 77284
octets before compression cause a "Broken pipe" error, indifferently from the
compression method.

View the uncompressed file or decompressing on the fly does not cause error:

bzip2-dc /usr/share/doc/cups/changelog.Debian.gz | most
