Hi,

        Experienced emacs users on the emacs-devel mailing list noted
 that it took an emacs developer over two hours to find the
 site-start.el file in /etc/emacs/site-start.el.

        A suggested solution is to add a symbolic link from
 $PREFIX/share/emacs/site-lisp/site-start.el to /etc/emacs/site-start.el
 which is a cheap way to let experienced users see where the file has
 been moved to, while still following policy and keeping the editable
 bits in /etc.

I am tagging all these bugreports +pending +patch, since they will be dealt
with by the NMU I am preparing. I am currently waiting for news on the lenny
release before actually upload, but since is taking longer than expected I
will probably upload really soon.

Changes go much further than an usual NMU, but since I received no reply on
this during some long time I will proceed with it. Changes can be tracked at
the git repo
