Hi,

Everytime I start audacity it makes a clicking noise.  I assume it
happens when opening the audio device.  It's the only application
that seems to have this effect.

Don't have anything of use to add to this bug report but I'm having the
same issues, I hear a loud pop when I open Audacity, although granted it
happens randomly (so not every time I start Audacity)
Sometimes this is also comes along with a "ALSA daemon failed" or something
along those lines. (I forgot the error message)

I also get a pop occasionally when I play a sound file. It seems to happen
the most when I previously stopped the playback in a loud portion of a
file, and then play again at a random position.
