Hi,

I've got a ATI Mobility X600 in my laptop. When I run KDE4 with enabled desktop effects
and the radeon driver I'm getting a couple of reproducible screen corruptions:

1. Maximizing a window and restoring the original size leaves two horizontal lines at the
top and bottom of the restored window, cf. the attched screenshot. They go away by moving
the window around.
2. When I move the mouse pointer over the maximize or minimize buttons of a window, thin
horizontal bars appear above the respective buttons (not visible in screenshots).

Both problems do not exist using the fglrx driver.

The xorg.conf attached is one of many versions I tried, changing e.g. EXA for XAA and so forth.
I could not get rid of these screen corruptions.

This should be fixed in libgl1-mesa-dri 7.2-1 from experimental (and
upstream Git mesa_7_0_branch).

This may or may not be the same problem.

You shouldn't have been able to upgrade libgl1-mesa-dri without
libgl1-mesa-glx...
It works for me, so if it doesn't for you either something's missing
from your system or there's a bug.  But without any details, it's hard
to tell.

Well, after upgrading libgl1-mesa-dri (and libgl1-mesa-glx) the screen
in KDE4 stays something like white-on-bright-grey and resembles the look
of a KDE4 desktop using the fglrx driver _without_ the fglrx module.
That's why I guessed there was a problem wiht OpenGL or GLX.

It is possible to type in a terminal in this situation. I tried glxinfo
and xdpyinfo. The output is attached but I can't see anything obvious.
Maybe you can.

Next step is pulling in xserver-xorg-video-ati,
xserver-xorg-video-radeon and xserver-xorg-input-evdev from
experimental. This results in

1. Corrupted panel (see scrennshot: artefacts right to the clock widget,
there should be some docked applications, cf. the screenshot in the
original bug report)
2. Touchpad "clicking" not recognized (moving the mouse with the
touchpad, and using the touchpad's physical buttons does work.)

Can I provide more info?
