Sometimes braser won't start - it crashes immediately. It looks like it is caused by some specific state of the system because when it crashes it crashes repeatedly. It seems that removing empty media from the drive makes brasero run until the media is reinserted - at least sometimes. tag 504351 + moreinfo thanks Hi, do you still see this bug with brasero 2.28 from the unstable distribution? Cheers,
2010/2/28 Josselin Mouette <joss@debian.org>: brasero is generally very crashy. It would not crash on startup currently but it does not see the burner so the media insert event is never delivered. In a directory containing videos it would sometimes crash on pressing Shift+Down for example. Possibly somewhat related are the EAGAIN messages. Thanks Michal (brasero:24787): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkHBox to a GtkAlignment, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkAlignment can only contain one widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkButton (brasero:24787): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_box_pack: assertion `child->parent == NULL' failed brasero: Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0.0.

Hmm, the -3 revision seems to print a new message: (brasero:27039): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkHBox to a GtkAlignment, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkAlignment can only contain one widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkButton (brasero:27039): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_box_pack: assertion `child->parent == NULL' failed brasero: Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0.0. ** (brasero:27039): WARNING **: Failed to create output image buffer of 640x480 pixels
