I noticed that (and in some cases it does matter) for new bugs (they are
underlined) a space and an underscore look the same in the bug title.
Could you change this?

The only titles that are underlined are those that are links, and you
can easily double check using the bug page itself, which doesn't have
this problem. That said, if you provide me with a bug number that this
is a problem, I'll definetly look at it.

indeed once a link is no longer new/unread underscores are readable in
the summary itself. So downgrading to wishlist is reasonable. It merely
is an annoyance.

I first noticed this for debirf (using iceweasel from sid):
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?package=debirf

Do you need any further information?

It's pretty clear to me that there's an underbar there, though it's
perhaps not as clear as it could posisbly be... if you can propose a
change that would resolve it (while keeping the link underline) I'd be
interested in applying it.

Sorry for letting you wait for so long. As we seem to disagree about the
problem I attached an excerpt of a screenshot. This is just iceweasel
and import (imagemagick). At least I am unable to distinguish spaces
from underscores in this screenshot.

Attached is what I see.

I'm still interested in making it more clear, so if you can play
around with the CSS and give me a patch that makes it more visible for
you without getting rid of the link underline, I'd be glad to apply
it.

That's how it should look. :-) (Remember that I can only observe this
for non-visited links.)

My screenshot was made using iceweasel 3.0.6-1 on sid/amd64 (which
should pretty much be the same as lenny).
makes underscores visible for me, None of which are an option obviously.
CSS3 seems to have support for positioning the underline, but iceweasel
does not support that yet. Eventually changing the font might help, but
I did not find a usable one.

I suggest tagging -moreinfo +help and leaving the bug in that state
until this bug is fixed by iceweasel or someone comes up with a
solution.

I haven't visted that link either.

It's 3.0.3-2 here, but it's probably more important what font you're
using and the antialias settings that you have.

Hello.

Attached is a CSS fragment that will turn link underlines into dotted lines.
