Hello,

If /etc/init.d/stunnel4 start fails, the message
Restarting SSL tunnels: [Failed: /etc/stunnel/stunnel.conf]
You should check that you have specified the pid= in you configuration
file
is printed on screen.
It appears if pid= is specified correctly, too.

"For logging defails make sure, that debug = 7 as well as output = /
var/log/stunnel4/stunnel.log
are enabled in your configuration and stunnel has write access to
specified file.
Also, you should check that you have specified the pid= in you
configuration file
is printed on screen."

Is certainly a more helpful message.

Keep smiling

Hi Guys,

In order to prevent these kind of problems I have changed the default
value for "pid" in the upstream release of stunnel 5.00. This and
newer versions of stunnel also print any critical errors to stderr.

Best regards,
	Michal Trojnara
