When I invoke some program from tray panel, the auto-hide-configured panel besides the tray panel does not hide until the cursor point touches it again. For example: 1) Of course, set the panel besides the tray panel to auto-hide; 2) Run Tomboy Notes and minimize it to the tray panel; 3) Click the Tomboy Notes' icon at the tray panel and choose pop menu item search all notes. Then the panel does not hide.
It happens to me too to have a gnome-panel that doesn't hide anymore. Re-setting the 'auto-hide' setting doesn't help. What does help, is `killall gnome-panel'. Not very elegant, but may save some frustration. Thanks.
