Although I have the line 'norm = NTSC' in the [global] section of my .xawrc
(see my other bug report, #  xxx), xawtv comes up in PAL mode and I have to
select NTSC from the options window.  It reverts to PAL every time I change
the channel as well.

I have updated to 3.02-5, and following the exameple, moved the 'source' and
'norm' options into the [defaults] section.   This seemed to do the trick.

If these options do not work in [global], it should print out error messages
to that effect, rather than silently ignoring them.

Honestly I don't understand the need for a distinction between [global] and
[defaults] at all.
