Hi,

Mark Hymers took too long to re-upload the old monolithic ia32-libs
and ia32-libs-gtk packages so that bugs closed by ia32-libs-tools
taking over ia32-libs and ia32-libs-gtk have now been archived.
The BTS did at least try to reopen and revert all the bugs affected by
reversing the transition but it seems to only have been partially
successfull. Some bugs still have the "Fixed in version
ia32-libs-tools/19" tag attached and they all seem to be still
archived despite the version tracking showing they are still open.

Would it be possible to unarchive the following bugs and remove their
fixed headers?

458457 487788 508170 505627 505632 435455 460737 460169 463701 471363

Yes, and you can do it. See

Shouldn't that be fixed in general so the next package where this
happens debbugs behaves correctly?

It's not possible for the BTS to see the future, unfortunatly; if bugs
that were closed get archived, and a new version is released which
means that they're no longer fixed, nothing currently goes through and
unarchives them.

I've kind of been thinking about doing this for at least RC bugs, but
I haven't come to a complete decision yet, so reopening and diverting
this bug for that.

However, it's still good that you brought this back for me to look at,
as in this case there is another bug, as it should never had been
possible add another entry to the bug log of an archived bug as is
showing up in #435455 (and probably others.)
