If I try to disconnect a client started with -persist, the client process stays alive, the local kernel logs: kernel: [548405.530622] nbd0: NBD_DISCONNECT kernel: [548405.533286] nbd0: Receive control failed (result -32) kernel: [548405.533353] nbd0: queue cleared kernel: [548405.548413] nbd0: unknown partition table and the server records a reconnect. Afterwards, nbd0 is available as before.
i can confirm this with mainline nbd client version 2.9.15 ubuntu karmic 2.6.31-20-server SMP
