If I try to disconnect a client started with -persist, the client process stays
alive, the local kernel logs:

  kernel: [548405.530622] nbd0: NBD_DISCONNECT
  kernel: [548405.533286] nbd0: Receive control failed (result -32)
  kernel: [548405.533353] nbd0: queue cleared
  kernel: [548405.548413]  nbd0: unknown partition table

and the server records a reconnect. Afterwards, nbd0 is available as before.

i can confirm this with mainline nbd client version 2.9.15
