when i connected to a AP that uses web based authentication, it (the
applet) suddenly gone (the panel reloads) but i still can connect to the

network-manager applet gone, after that the gnome panel reloads because
there there's a gap before after the applet gone.

this time the applet does not reload, perhaps something else triggers it. It
seems that upon authenticated from AP (using Google Chrome), the applet
suddenly gone leaving a gap between battery and sound icon.
