Looking at the PS outpout of gthumb, I see (with horror) that the data
is emitted in the DeviceRGB colour space, rather than being in one of
the absolute colour spaces (ABC-based or CIE-based) so that the printer
can perform any necessary calibration.

While working in the DeviceRGB colour space is okay for comics, business
graphics and similar applications, it is not acceptable for an appli-
cation that is supposed to deal with JPEGs encoded in an absolute colour
space (typically sRGB, as specified by EXIF).

I haven't checked the PDF output, but I suspect it has a similar bug.

Hello,

I'm confirming this bug also in the newer gThumb I recently uploaded.

To be honest, I don't know if this really is gThumb-specific; more probably
it's a bug in the GNOME-Printing framework. At current time however, this is
just an idea I had, not based on source code. :)

If it happens to be a gThumb bug, this surely is upstream's -- I'll take care
of forwarding it.

Kindly,
David
