I get this warning from alsa-lib using mplayer on any source. I have done some changes to /etc/asound.conf (attached in pastebin) for A52 upmixing. All packages, mplayer and alsa are from debian squeeze

"[AO_ALSA] alsa-lib: pcm_hw.c:587:(snd_pcm_hw_start) SNDRV_PCM_IOCTL_START failed: File descriptor in bad state"

This is using snd-intel-hda VIA codec on a VIA EPIA EX15000 motherboard with custom compiled kernel 2.6.33.2.
