After running X for some time all newly started applications show
unreadable 3-4px letters.

I guess this has something to do with changing screen modes or an
OpenGL application going into low-res fullscreen and failing to restore
the original mode.

This is just another one of the endless stream of xrandr-DPI bugs I
guess.
