Hi,

debmirror ignore the section 'debian-installer' for the distributions
'.*-proposed-updates'. It is hardcoded in the debmirror script itself.
Is there any raisons to do that ?

There is the same bug in the sid package.

Yes. You should be able to remove the test if you want to.

In the past there have been times when proposed-updates suites did not
contain debian-installer sections and thus would cause mirroring to fail.

I think the solution is to remove the test and simply not fail if the
section is missing (which could still happen after a release), but just
print a warning.

Hello, Philippe. My name is Thaddeus Black. I am
adopting maintenance of Debian's package debmirror in
place of the late Frans Pop and the retired Joey Hess.

During 2010, you reported bug 581013 against debmirror:
three hours of trying, I have failed to reproduce the
bug. Maybe the bug does not exist in the current
version of debmirror, or (more likely) maybe I just do
not understand it.

Specifically, I have set up a mock archive with a
main/debian-installer/binary-amd64 but no
main/debian-installer/binary-i386. As far as I can
tell, the current debmirror behaves no differently for
the one architecture than for the other in this case.

Feel free to explain more, if this bug is still
relevant to you.

I will leave your report open here for another three
months. If no further information is added during this
time, I will close the report.

debmirror has probably changed since this bug and I'm not involved on a
project using debmirror since a while.

So if this bug is not reproducible, we should probably close it.
