Playing an audio file using totem I get:

Cannot connect to server socket err = No such file or directory
Cannot connect to server socket
jack server is not running or cannot be started

on the terminal.  Not sure if this is a bug in totem, libjack or the
jack gstreamer plugin, but it's quite annoying.

Confirmed with pidgin 2.7.1-1, when "sound method" is set to
"automatic".  Setting "sound method" to "no sounds" works around it.
