Hello, The package is creating and using a user & group _lldpd for running the daemon. There is nothing wronk with it, but it's a bit uncommon/weird on a Debian system (didn't find anything in the policy on the subject though). Would you mind renaming it to something more "classical" (for ex. lldp or lldpd) at least for the debian package ? Thanks. @+, Fab

Using a username starting with underscore is the common way to do things on OpenBSD which features a lot of privilege separated daemons. This avoids any collision with a real username. I don't really see what is inconvenient with this username and migrating to another username is difficult. I don't think this will change.
