I run freevo with alsa I play music; I go to surf while listening music

I can run a video with mplayeer (it uses alsa)

but kmail makes no sound at new emails; whereas mpalyer can play music / sound

So please could you make new email notificatno sound using ALSA by default

Hello,

kmail uses phonon. Phonon uses whatever you set in System Settings ->
Multimedia. As a precaution, purge pulseaudio.

Dear Sir,

- well, since I am using FVWM, it would be great that kmail works excluding
installing KDE.

Kmail is also great for those that are using slow PC.

I would advice if possibel to tune to mplayer or aplay with some alsa
features

I hope that phonon is not flloooding the pc with kde packages :(
