my /etc/resolv.conf was empty, and I've tried to fetch new contents of a ssh+svn repo via git-svn; this is the error message:
Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at /usr/lib/perl5/SVN/Core.pm line 584.
Network connection closed unexcepted (translated from german, sorry if not accurate) : To better debug SSH connection problems, remove the -q option from 'ssh' in the [tunnels] section of your Subversion configuration file.: at /usr/lib/git-core/git-svn line 1770

in first place ssh didn't even start...

Hi Peter, Troy, and Guilherme,

Any idea what’s happening? Could SVN::Core diagnose this better?

See http://bugs.debian.org/486527 for an example reproduction recipe.
