Today, I installed Ubuntu by using the alternate-cd. If I install system within an encrypted device (logical volume for encryption), I do not get any error-message about that. If I go on installing the system, I won't be able to boot the system.

I know, it's not debian I tried to install, but I thought this might be the right place to file a bug.

The system information provided can be ignored.

Sincerely,
Mathias Kub

Excerpts from Mathias Kub's message of Mit Aug 04 19:04:54 -0400 2010:

If you are installing Ubuntu you should submit this bug to the Ubuntu
Bug Tracking System. While the installer on the alternate CD is based
on debian-installer Ubuntu modifies the installer. So this bug might
well be Ubuntu specific. If it also affects Debian the Ubuntu
developers will forward it to Debian.
