Hello!

I recently got an oldish Nikon Coolpix 4100 camera. When trying to
import photos from it, gthumb opens up a wrong device, showing the
contents of a mounted vfat drive instead of the camera.

I also tried 'gthumb --import-photos', and it too shows the content of
the drive mounted under /media/XP instead of the camera.

All the best,

Harri K.

Inserting the camera, with dmesg:

Testing this with Canon PowerShot A80, and same behaviour, does not open
the camera but a mounted drive. With this particular camera and this
computer, import has worked perfectly before. I'll try to find another
computer to test this on, too.

All the Best,

Harri K.

Under "Source:" I find only the name of the drive mounted under /media
("XP"); under "Show:" I find Media, Images, etc., various media types.

I'm just trying it on another computer, also updated to testing two
days, and the same phenomenon there, with the exception, that the import
dialog offers no sources at all: no mounted drives, and definitiely not
the Canon PowerShot A80, which I've used together with this laptop and
gthumb since 2005.

Best,

Harri K.
