Hi,

KDE4 has the capability of automatically setting time/date with ntpdate or
rdate. However, neither one is installed with a tasksel kde4 desktop.

Additionally, the Systems Settings GUI for enabling ntp time checks fails
cryptically. It reports an error something like "unable to complete the task."
It fails because it can't find either ntpdate or rdate.

Folks, any advice?

Maybe one of the KDE packages should depend|recommend ntpdate or rdate?

From my understanding, the package in question is "systemsettings".
