Hello,

thank you for maintanining freeciv.

Wesnoth has this fantastic autosave feature that allows to go back a
certain number of turns without needing to continuously hit the save
button at every turn. It also automatically clears autosaves more than X
turns ago.

It'd be nice to have the same thing in freeciv. Obviously this does not
make sense for network play, but when playing locally, why not.

Ciao,

Enrico

Thanks for your report.

Freeciv does have autosaves (i thought turned on by default), but
doesn't clear after a certain number.

If its not autosaving by default, that would be good to fix, I'll have
to check into that. Not sure that clearing the last N saves would help
that much, each file is quite small.

Oh, sorry, I completely missed it. The main menu hanging on load didn't
encourage experimentation.

Yes indeed. What is missing and works very well on wesnoth is then a
File/Load option and, more importantly, a File/Previous turn option.

Ciao,
