When configuring the mail reader in the "Preferred Applications"
capplet and selecting "Mutt", the "Run in terminal" checkbox remains
unchecked. (And as it is disabled, one can only trick it into checked
status by selecting "Custom", checking it and then selecting "Mutt"
again).
As a result, clicking any mailto:// Links in a browser launches mutt
without terminal which leads to it sending out an empty mail without
further notice.

This problem did not exist in lenny, where choosing "Mutt" did
properly check the "Run in terminal" setting.
The run-in-terminal property in
/usr/share/gnome-control-center/default-apps/gnome-default-applications.xml
seems to be set fine, but obviously is ignored by the capplet.

this is an old bug.

Could you please still reproduce this issue with newer gnome-control-center
version like 1:3.4.3.1-2 or 1:3.8.3-5 ?

I am closing these bugs because gnome-control-center has changed so
dramatically since the bugs were reported that the bugs are no longer
relevant.

If you are still experiencing this or a similar issue on a supported
Debian release, please open a new bug.
