The HOOK_BLACKLIST mechanism does create corresponding files in /var/run/pm-utils/pm-powersave/storage/ , but when running the power.d hooks, pm-utils seems to ignore these files and run all hooks anyway. I added the following to /etc/pm/config.d/local: HOOK_BLACKLIST="49bluetooth 90clock 94cpufreq harddrive journal-commit laptop-mode xfs_buffer" Despite this, /var/log/pm-powersave.log shows that the journal-commit, laptop-mode, and xfs_buffer hooks still run when I attach/detach AC power (or manually run pm-powersave). - Josh Triplett
