This system has no printers configured.

When i open gnome-control-center and choose the "printers" control
panel, the right-hand pane has an icon of a printer, titled "Printer",
and underneath it says "Printing..." (Location, Model, and IP Address
are all "---"). I'm attaching a screenshot of the dialog.

Of course, there is no actual "Printer", and it is not "Printing..."
so this text is misleading and makes the control panel seem
unreliable.

Perhaps the right-hand pane needs some special display to handle the
case where no printer is selected.

Hey Daniel,

this is an old bug.

Could you please still reproduce this issue with newer gnome-control-center
version like 1:3.4.3.1-2 or 1:3.8.3-7 ?

cheers,
althaser
