Which one is the right way to use (virtual) fonts in style of Xft/fontconfig/Pango/Freetype/whatever? text-font = sans-serif:24 text-font = Sans Serif 24 Documentation really do not tell. In addiction, procmeter3-gtk2 vomits this crap all to the time, even in that situation that I delete all font settings from config file: (procmeter3-gtk2:31120): Gdk-CRITICAL **: IA__gdk_string_width: assertion `font != NULL' failed
I do not know if this is the "right" way to do it, but you can change the fonts using XLFD[0] and xfontsel. [0] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X_logical_font_description By example: text-font = -*-helvetica-*-r-*-*-24-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
