I think that there is a compatibility problem with geeqie and libgtk2.0-0.
When I try to start the program, I get the following messages:

Could not init LIRC support
geeqie: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: undefined symbol: gdk_pixbuf_new_from_stream

Then geeqie dies.

The installed packages are mixed from oldstable to unstable: the list of all the installed packages is included.

Looks like there is something wrong with gtk version you use,
reassigning to Gtk. As you are using mixture of oldstable, stable and
testing, I guess this is source of prolems - you should install
libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.24.0-1 from wheezy.

Anyway libgtk2.0-0 should depend on version it needs, so reassigning to
gtk.
